A letter from the Bill Thomas Family

On the eve of the Bill Thomas Cheetah’s 50th anniversary, we as a community have had some great successes leading into an exciting future. The Bill Thomas Motors company and this website are on the verge of bringing the Cheetah community together, stronger than ever.

I would like to thank our friends at Cheetah Evolution for hosting the first ever Cheetah social on September 14th, 2013 at the Nelson Ledges Road Course in Ohio. With ten Cheetahs present, it was the largest collection of Cheetahs, in its history, in one location. Stories were shared, pictures were taken, Cheetahs were out on the race track, Carrera slot cars were raced, and a good time was had by all. We look forward to the Second Annual Bill Thomas Cheetah Reunion on July 17-20, 2014 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

With the excitement from this event, the Bill Thomas family is taking over the reigns of the Bill Thomas Motors company to bring the community a legitimate and strongly backed leadership. It will be headed by me, Bill Thomas’s son, Bill Thomas. As we announced on September 12th, 2013, the Bill Thomas Family has ended any and all connection with Robert Auxier and BTM LLC of Arizona.

With this new endeavor, our first step is to develop a Cheetah website dedicated to promote, educate, share, sell, and purchase all things Cheetah. We want this site to be yours, the community’s, and ask you to share with us your ideas, concerns, and constructive critiques.

In the coming months, we will be adding a marketplace for used and new Cheetahs, a forum for discussions, the store of official Cheetah & member created merchandise, a blog, a registry to track all Cheetahs, a support system for technical assistance and parts, and a collection of the history of the Cheetah.

I hope that you are as excited as we are. As we build this new foundation, we hope you will help us make it greater than even we can envision. We look forward to a very special 50th anniversary of the Bill Thomas Cheetah.
